Phoenix World Class Fireproof Filing Cabinets (previously the Excel range) provide up to 90 minutes protection for papers and documents. A unique insulating material within the cabinet's drawers and body keeps its internal temperature below the point at which paper will begin to char or combust. Each drawer is individually protected, so if one is accidentally left open, the contents of the others will remain unharmed.
Designed to be lightweight, these cabinets can be easily installed on most standard floors with extra supports. A floor collapse is a common occurrence during intense fires, so these cabinets have been built to withstand a 9.1 metre drop onto rubble.
Fire protection (Paper) - 90 minutes fire protection for paper documents.
FIre protection (Digital media) - Tested to MTC - DIP120 - 60DMA fire test standard, providing 60 minutes fire protection for digital media, USB's, memory sticks and hard drives.
Water resistance - Water resistant seals prevent water damage to contents when the cabinet is subjected to sprinkler systems or fire hoses.
Drop test - Drop tested from 9.1 meters for resistance to the impact of falling through the burning floors of a building or the collapse of the building.
The World Class Firefile is available in either a 2 or 4 drawer model, the door is secured by either a high security key lock, electronic or fingerprint locking. Fitted with a high quality key lock supplied with two keys. The electronic lock features and LED display, dual control as well as hidden code and scrambled code features.
Other optional extras include the DPI08 data insert. This is a special storage box designed to fit in the bottom drawer. It provides protection for heat sensitive data media such as CDs, DVDs and hard drives.
